Give a Gift Today - North Texas Giving Day

Jan.15, 2013 Despite the inclement weather the North Texas Souper Bowl of Caring campaign kicked off as planned at Tanglewood Elementary in Fort Worth. A big "thank you" to football souper-star LaDainian Tomlinson for speaking to the students on giving back to the community and sharing his personal story. LT was quoted as saying, "What I did on Sunday's people may remember for a week or two but what I do in the community, people remember for a lifetime." Fort Worth ISD Superintendent, Walter Dansby and TCU mascot, SuperFrog were also on hand, along with Radio Disney, 96.3 KSCS, Radio H20 107.9 and Papa Murphy's who provided entertainment for the students. Participate in "Get Up and Give! North Texas Giving Day" and support Souper Bowl of Caring on September 13th, 2012 from 7am-12mid. During this day, Souper Bowl of Caring will be eligible to receive matching donations through our online DonorBridge profile. Each year, Souper Bowl of Caring mobilizes youth to collect dollars and cans for hunger-relief organizations in their local communities in the weeks leading up to the NFL Super Bowl football game. 100% of the money they collect goes directly to the charity their choice. None of the money comes to our national headquarters. We rely on donations from caring people like you to help us grow this movement! The support we receive enables us to fund administrative costs, our youth leadership and service programs, website and printed materials at no cost to participants.
