We are excited to announce that the application for the 2016-2017 National Youth Advisory Board is now available!

Each year Souper Bowl of Caring selects a group of high school students (rising sophomores, juniors and seniors) from across the nation to serve in a leadership position, learning about service and philanthropy while lending their voices to our mission and leading their own communities in the fight against hunger.

National Youth Advisory Board requirements include attending two mandatory conferences organized by Souper Bowl of Caring at its headquarters in Houston, TX. The youth also serve as spokespeople for the media and act as ambassadors for the organization, sharing Souper Bowl of Caring with others in their communities while offering ideas on ways to continue growing the movement.

"This is a once in lifetime opportunity for students to be part of a organization that has raised more than $125 million for charities across the country," said Melissa Daigneault, National Community Relations Manager for Souper Bowl of Caring. "Students will have opportunities for decision-making, leadership, travel and training."
Daigneault believes having a National Youth Advisory Board just makes sense for the organization. Souper Bowl of Caring was led 25 years ago by one, small group of young people and the National Youth Advisory Board allows this tradition to continue.

"I love working with the Souper Bowl of Caring because I can directly see the impact I am making," said Nathan Gardstein, a 2015-2016 National Youth Advisory Board member, "whether it is serving food to the hungry or watching my drives exceed their goals."
To get involved, please apply or share this information with an outstanding young person today. To learn more, visit souper.org/nyab.
