Our #NYAB: Where are they now? series informs our participants, future applicants, and others on the rewarding experience our National Youth Advisory Board members get from being a part of the Souper Bowl of Caring team. Some of our former members have ended up working in the nonprofit field, attending ministry and medical schools and even working at Souper Bowl of Caring as a staff member.
All of the past members talk about their experience, explaining that they would not be the same person they are today without Souper Bowl of Caring. Friends were made, once in a lifetime experiences were gained and they all were able to connect with their passions.
Our new #NYAB: Where are they now? series includes young men and women from the first and second National Youth Advisory Boards, but we hope to expand each year. We believe it is a great way to see the positive impact that the program had on their lives, and how it contributed to their successes today.
In an effort to encourage future National Youth Advisory Board generations, past members Ashley Mullican, Melissa Daigneault, Spencer DeWald, Sarah Kate Thomas, Ryan James, and Jonathan Simmons will all attend the 2015-2016 National Youth Advisory Board meetings. They will give advice and act as mentors to the newly selected members.
Thank you to the past members who have opened up new doors and opportunities for our future members. Your work and dedication is admired and greatly appreciated!
