Along with volunteering with the Souper Bowl of Caring, she also knits hats for NICU infants in her hometown of Columbia, SC. She also volunteers at church, food banks, shelters and around her local community. Through her volunteering, she has learned that the ability to give hope and joy to others is something truly special. She has been influenced by Mother Teresa, her parents, Jesus and her siblings.
Grace hopes to bring the Souper Bowl of Caring back to the youth in her school and around her community. She truly loves helping others and hopes to inform those in her community about the degree of need in their community and how they can help. Through this experience she hopes to learn about public speaking and about the specific needs in Columbia and throughout the United States. She looks forward to helping her community through the National Youth Advisory Board.
Fun fact: If she could have any "souper" power, it would be invisibility, so that she could understand how people think and act.
