However, Kat has found her true calling through helping those in need. With her school, Kat volunteers at her local VA hospital, Mathew 25 Ministries, Hands Against Hunger, Ronald McDonald House. And it was at her church where she was first introduced to Souper Bowl of Caring, through her middle school youth group. Kat bubbles with excitement as she describes her plans to "change my community, one can at a time" by better introducing Souper Bowl of Caring in Walton.
To prepare for her dream job of working with a nonprofit organization, Kat hopes to learn more about hunger and poverty in the U.S., as well as about fundraising and public speaking. With a passion for helping others, a love for teaching, feeding and seeing the impact that she is able to make on those in her community, Kat Blanchard is a fun, loving person who truly cares and is excited about helping others in need.
Fun fact: If she could have a "souper" power, it would be mind-reading.
