For a second year, Souper Bowl of Caring is teaming up with YouGiveGoods, a great organization that allows philanthropists to host online food drives. This is a great opportunity to diversify your collection and ensure that anyone in your group can participate.
Once your online food drive is created, it can be accessed by anyone with an internet connection. You will receive a unique URL that you can share with everyone looking to support your charity. We encourage you to share this link on any of your social media sites and via email.
When creating an online food drive through their site, simply list "Souper Bowl of Caring" in the field labeled Are you starting the drive on behalf of an organization? and we will handle the rest! The results of your online food drive will count toward your 2014 collection.
We believe this is a great way for those unable to attend your collection in person to still help your cause by purchasing food items online. Once the drive has completed, YouGiveGoods will make sure the food is delivered directly to the charity of your choice.
Collecting food items online is a way we hope to make giving easy.
